With extensive experience and direct involvement in complex and sophisticated construction law and multi-state litigation, Bart focuses his practice on handling a wide-range of construction-related disputes, representing contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and sureties in diverse construction disputes on both private and government projects.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Bart devotes the predominate portion of his practice to the areas of construction law and litigation, including the representation of contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, design professionals and sureties in the context of both public and private construction projects. He has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide range of construction related matters in both state and federal courts in many different states, as well as in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) forums, such as arbitration and mediation.
In addition, Mr. Reed is particularly experienced in the area of Georgia Mechanics and Materialmen's Lien Law and has authored for use at seminars and by clients a "Quick Reference Guide to Georgia Materialmen's Lien Law." He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Georgia in 1996 and received his Juris Doctor Degree from Mercer University School of Law in 2000. While attending the University of Georgia, Mr. Reed studied English Literature at Oxford University in Oxford, England for which he received high honors and induction into an international honor society.
