Jared W. Heald practices in the area of construction law. Jared’s practice is split between representing contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in contractual disputes centering on payment issues including associated mechanics and materialmen lien and payment bond claims and representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, and sureties in complex multi-party litigation and arbitration arising out of a wide range of issues impacting construction clients, including payment issues, design disputes, construction defect cases, as well as delay, impact and labor inefficiency claims for both public and private construction projects.
Having been a licensed property and casualty insurance agent, risk analyst, and loss control consultant for Marsh Risk Consulting prior to entering into the legal profession and having worked with in-house and outside counsel to several insurance companies afterwards, Jared is particularly experienced in the area of insurance law regarding coverage for construction claims and assists the firm’s clients with obtaining insurance coverage for a claims arising out of construction disputes alleging faulty or negligent construction.
Jared received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with highest honors in Finance from the Kennesaw State University in 2003, where he earned induction into the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society for outstanding achievement in Business and was awarded the Senior of the Year in Finance. In 2007, Jared received his Juris Doctor with highest honors from Georgia State University, graduating second in his class.
